First thing in the morning, Věra got an earful from a woman at the information center who’s seen our photographs in an article about UNES-CO in today’s local newspaper. She talked on and on about how people are really angry that the project is too little, too late, and how the city slacked off on its housing policy. Why not offer flats for reasonable rents to people who work downtown?
One tourist thought that the city had been built entirely artificially, and that nobody actually lived here. She was amazed to find out that there are permanent residents here.
We would like to thank all who live our normal life with us. You are hereby invited to out farewell barbecue on Široká Street: Thursday, 28 June at 2pm. Sincerely, all 4 members of the Čarek family.
